Senior Director Global Scientific Communications

An innovative, mid-sized biotech is hiring a Senior Director to lead Global Scientific Communications for a high-priority therapeutic area. This role will oversee strategy, execution, and team leadership across publications, scientific platforms, and key external engagement from early development through post-launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own global scientific communications and publication strategy

• Lead and develop a team of scientific communication professionals

• Drive cross-functional alignment with Clinical, Medical, and Commercial teams

• Oversee the development of abstracts, manuscripts, slide decks, and other core materials

• Manage agencies, budgets, and timelines while ensuring compliance with industry standards

• Build strong relationships with investigators, KOLs, and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) or equivalent experience

• 10+ years in medical/scientific communications within biotech/pharma or agency

• Proven team leadership and experience in rare or complex disease areas

• Deep knowledge of publication practices (GPP, ICMJE)

• Strategic thinker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

• CMPP certification

• Experience supporting global product launches
