Communications & Engagement Coordinator

Summary: Works Saturday-Wednesday Full Time The Communications and Engagement Coordinator (CEC) is for an individual who is skilled in a variety of communications and engagement areas. CEC is responsible for all BINA approved communication, messaging and mission branding plans including marketing, social media, website updates, newsletters, apparel sales and inventory. Oversite of BINA's engagement programs including the Teen Ambassador Program (TAP) and pilot of the College and Young Professional group. CEC also supports fundraising and special events as needed. CEC assists the Program and Volunteer Coordinator with all inquiries. The CEC works closely with the Development and Outreach Coordinator and assists in that area as needed. Reports to the Executive Director (in their absence the Board Chair). Will provide a written quarterly report for the Executive Director on areas of oversight.
Full Time, in person, Hourly Non-Exempt Employee. Saturday-Wednesday position (off Thursday and Friday)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The CEC supports BINA Farm's mission and initiatives under the direction of the Executive Director. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Engagement/Special Events
· Work on all aspects of engagement projects and special events . Is the day of project leader for weekend events/special events .
Engagement Programs Oversight
· Teen Ambassador Program
· College and Young Professional Pilot
Communications and Messaging
· Responsibilities include maintaining messaging consistency through all BINA utilized platforms.
· Social Media/Marketing/PR
o Website management
o Creating and managing social media content for all aspects of the organization
o Organizing newsletters quarterly (including student, volunteer & sponsor/donor spotlights)
o Managing any marketing, social media or development interns
o Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
Branding
· Working with the Executive Director on ensuring the board approved branding of the organization is occurring as intended
· Apparel orders, sales and inventory for all staff, volunteers and retail
Additional Responsibilities as needed
· Communicates with and Assists as needed the Program and Volunteer Coordinator and Program Manager on all inquiries
· Administrative support for the Executive Director
· Works with the Development and Outreach Coordinator (DOC) to ensure there is mutual support for each other's positions as needed
Requirements
· Must be able to work Saturday-Wednesday schedule
Embrace and represent the mission of BINA Farm Center
· Bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years relevant experience in a nonprofit development office
· Legally able to work in the United States
· Excellent written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
· Social media/marketing experience
· Interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with community and other key contacts.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Microsoft Office, Canva
· Experience in CRM/Data Systems - we use Better Impact, Equi-Force (Sales Force) and Microsoft SharePoint system. All are easy to use if you have data experience.
· Being highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple assignments and deliver quality results on time
· Being able to work independently on site (not remote)
· Being a good team player and maintaining positive office moral
· Attend staff meetings
· Maintaining a valid driver's license and having access to an operational and insured vehicle
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
