Medical Billing Admin Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full medical billing lifecycle, including claims submission, payment posting, denial resolution, and payer follow-ups
- Maintain accurate patient, payer, and financial records; reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Perform bookkeeping functions including invoicing, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and monthly financial close
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial, management, and compliance reports for leadership review
- Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations, payer requirements, and internal financial controls
- Coordinate administrative processes related to clinician credentialing, onboarding documentation, and insurance enrollment
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with at least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or medical billing, or 10+ years of comparable hands-on experience
- Proven track record in healthcare finance or medical billing, including processing claims and performing reconciliations
- Solid understanding of payer requirements, EOBs, and compliance documentation
- Advanced QuickBooks skills, including handling AP/AR, journal entries, class tracking, refunds, and account reconciliations
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Background in multi-provider medical practices or outpatient care environments
- Experience with EHR or practice management software such as Kareo, Athenahealth, or AdvancedMD
- Familiarity with HR systems and payroll processes within a healthcare setting
