Medical Billing Admin Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full medical billing lifecycle, including claims submission, payment posting, denial resolution, and payer follow-ups
• Maintain accurate patient, payer, and financial records; reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Perform bookkeeping functions including invoicing, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and monthly financial close
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial, management, and compliance reports for leadership review
• Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations, payer requirements, and internal financial controls
• Coordinate administrative processes related to clinician credentialing, onboarding documentation, and insurance enrollment

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with at least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or medical billing, or 10+ years of comparable hands-on experience
• Proven track record in healthcare finance or medical billing, including processing claims and performing reconciliations
• Solid understanding of payer requirements, EOBs, and compliance documentation
• Advanced QuickBooks skills, including handling AP/AR, journal entries, class tracking, refunds, and account reconciliations

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Background in multi-provider medical practices or outpatient care environments
• Experience with EHR or practice management software such as Kareo, Athenahealth, or AdvancedMD
• Familiarity with HR systems and payroll processes within a healthcare setting
