Product Manager - Clinical Education & Medical Devices

Hearing Healthcare Recruiters, LLC
Boston, MA
Turn your clinical knowledge into a career that takes you into the OR, the lab, and across the country!

This growing medical device organization is seeking a Product Manager – Clinical Education & Support to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who understands the hearing healthcare space and wants to take their career beyond traditional clinical practice.

This is a remote/hybrid position, with flexibility for the right candidate. Candidates should ideally live within reasonable commuting distance of Boston or Worcester for periodic in-person collaboration, training, and team activities.

You'll become a key resource for an innovative portfolio of middle ear implants, ventilation tubes, and precision surgical instruments, working directly with clients, surgeons, sales partners, and internal teams to provide education, clinical support, and product expertise.

This is much more than a desk-based product management role. You'll have the opportunity to support cases in the Operating Room, lead hands-on clinical workshops, attend national conferences, and work directly with healthcare professionals to help advance the use of specialized medical technology.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Become a subject matter expert on an innovative portfolio of middle ear implants, ventilation tubes, and precision instruments
  • Educate customers, surgeons, and sales partners on products, clinical applications, and best practices
  • Develop product education, training materials, presentations, and clinical resources
  • Provide on-site clinical and OR case support when requested
  • Lead hands-on workshops and educational sessions for clients
  • Attend national conferences, exhibits, temporal bone labs, and other industry events
  • Collaborate with sales partners and internal teams to identify opportunities for product enhancements
  • Help communicate customer and clinical feedback to internal product teams
  • Travel nationally to provide education and clinical support
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who combines clinical curiosity, communication skills, and an interest in medical technology.

You may be a strong fit if you have:
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, audiology, or another related healthcare/medical field
  • General knowledge of the hearing healthcare or ENT industry
  • Experience or interest in medical device sales, clinical education, or healthcare technology
  • Comfort working in or a strong desire to learn within Operating Room and laboratory environments
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to educate both clinical and non-clinical audiences
  • A willingness to travel nationally approximately 25–30%
  • The flexibility to support conferences, labs, workshops, and clinical cases
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team
Medical device experience is a plus, but candidates with strong hearing industry knowledge and a desire to transition into medical technology are encouraged to apply!

The Work Environment:

This is a remote/hybrid position. The ideal candidate will live within reasonable commuting distance of Boston or Worcester, although the role is not structured as a traditional Monday–Friday, fully on-site position.

You will work remotely when not traveling or participating in required in-person activities.

Travel & Overnight Expectations

National travel is expected at approximately 25–30% of the time. This includes:
  • Operating Room and clinical case support
  • National conferences and trade shows
  • Temporal bone labs
  • Hands-on workshops and educational events
  • Customer and sales partner meetings
  • Other industry and training events
Candidates should anticipate approximately 6 overnight stays per month on average, although the actual number may vary depending on the conference schedule, clinical cases, workshops, and other business needs.

All business-related travel expenses are covered by the company.

Why This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to step outside the traditional clinical path without leaving healthcare behind.

You'll gain exposure to surgeons, medical technology, product development, clinical education, sales, and some of the most specialized environments in ENT.

If you're an Audiologist, healthcare professional, medical device professional, or clinically minded product specialist looking for a role with variety, travel, hands-on experience, and room to grow, this could be an exciting next step.

The team is looking to hire ASAP. An immediate start would allow the new hire to complete training, become familiar with the product portfolio, and prepare to attend an upcoming national conference.
