Medical Technologist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist)

Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking Medical Technologists (Clinical Laboratory Scientists) to join a collaborative and highly respected medical team. This is a long-term onsite contract opportunity in a modern, well-equipped clinical laboratory where patient safety and quality of care are top priorities.

You will perform comprehensive laboratory testing across multiple disciplines—including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis—while working alongside a dedicated group of laboratory professionals in a setting that follows nationally recognized standards of care. What You’ll Do

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology/coagulation, microbiology, urinalysis, and blood bank
• Operate and maintain automated laboratory instrumentation, including daily and weekly quality control procedures
• Conduct crossmatching, antibody screening/identification, and blood product processing
• Accurately document, evaluate, and report patient results while identifying and resolving testing discrepancies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with CAP and national laboratory standards

What We’re Looking For

• National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, urinalysis, and blood bank
• Strong proficiency with automated instrumentation and laboratory quality control processes
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to work independently
• Current continuing education and credentialing requirements maintained

Schedule & Coverage

• Shifts may include days, evenings, or nights
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
• Overtime opportunities possible
• No on-call or standby requirements
