Chemical Process Engineer
Summary
We are seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer with experience in process development, design, and construction of industrial facilities. This role will lead engineering efforts for complex process-facility projects, including new plant design, facility upgrades, and rehabilitation of high-hazard environments. The Senior Engineer will work closely with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects successfully.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering (minimum)
- 10+ years’ experience in chemical process engineering
- Experience in process development, design, and construction
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Strong time management and leadership skills
- Comfortable supervising junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Background in chemical processing or related industries
- Capital project management experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead and support engineering design for process-facility projects
- Supervise and mentor engineering team members
- Develop material & energy balances and process flow diagrams (PFDs)
- Prepare piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Size, specify, and procure equipment
- Provide equipment and piping layout design support
- Perform process and utility calculations
- Support construction activities and process startups
- Coordinate closely with vendors and clients to ensure requirements are met

- Project management of capital projects
- Construction support and startup/commissioning
