Special education teacher

Every Special Child is looking dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our campuses in Stoneham, MA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in early intervention and childhood development. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student's lives in a public school setting.

Assignment Details:

• Number of Openings: 3 SPED
• Full-time
• Grade Level: All age groups
• License Required: Mild/Mod & Mod/Sev
• Total Caseload: 10-15
• Working Hours: 35 hours weekly
• Start & End Date: ASAP
• Site Zip Code: Stoneham, MA

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs

- Provide literacy education tailored to each student's abilities

- Utilize behavior management techniques to support student learning and growth

- Collaborate with speech therapists and other professionals to address students' needs

- Conduct standardized testing to assess students' progress and inform instructional planning

- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for all students

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred

- MA State certification in Special Education

- Experience working with children, particularly in a private school setting

- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and childhood development principles

- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and speech therapy techniques

- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
