Pet Care Technician (Dogs & Cats – Boarding & Daycare)

Porter Road Pet Care – East Longmeadow, MA

Porter Road Pet Care is hiring dependable, hard-working team members to care for both dogs and cats in our boarding and daycare facility. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supervising dog playgroups and monitoring behavior
• Feeding and caring for both dogs and cats
• Cleaning kennels, cat condos, and common areas
• Monitoring health, appetite, and overall wellbeing
• Administering medications (with training)
• Handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Providing individualized care for cats (including shy or stressed cats)
• Assisting with bathing and basic grooming prep
• Communicating clearly with team members and management

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable and punctual (this is non-negotiable)
• Comfortable handling large dogs and independent cats
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Not afraid of cleaning, noise, or physical work
• Strong attention to detail (feeding, meds, behavior notes)
• Team player with a positive, no-drama attitude
• Weekend and holiday availability required
