About The School
Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with specialized public school programs designed to support students with diverse learning, communication, behavioral, and developmental needs. Through individualized instruction, therapeutic supports, and community-based learning, this program helps students build the academic, social, and life skills needed for greater independence and success.
Position Overview
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals to support students across two of its specialized programs. Paras will work directly with teachers and clinical staff to implement instruction, support IEP goals, foster independence, and help students develop social, emotional, behavioral, and communication skills.
These roles require patience, flexibility, and the ability to support students with autism and intensive special needs, including those with challenging behaviors.
Program DetailsHigh School Program
A public therapeutic high school program serving students ages 14-22. Prep focuses on academics, vocational training, life skills, and community-based instruction designed to prepare students for independent life after age 22. Classrooms are small, supportive, and individualized.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in delivering individualized instruction

Support IEP goals and behavioral programming

Promote student independence, communication skills, and appropriate social behaviors

Support vocational and community-based learning experiences
Preferred Experience:

Special education experience working with students with mild to severe
Elementary/Middle School Program
A public elementary and middle school program supporting students in PreK-8 with intensive special needs. TLC focuses on communication, academic readiness, life skills, social-emotional development, and fostering purposeful independence.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing instruction and IEP objectives

Support communication development, social skills, and behavioral regulation

Work with students who exhibit significantly challenging behaviors

Provide structure and emotional support across academic and life-skills settings
Preferred Experience:

Experience supporting students with significant behavioral or developmental needs
