Job Title: Senior IT Program Lead

Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid Work Schedule)

Overview: A government-affiliated organization is seeking a Senior IT Program Lead to oversee a portfolio of enterprise-level IT initiatives. This strategic leadership role within the IT PMO involves managing cross-functional teams, aligning project outcomes with business priorities, and ensuring consistent delivery across projects such as cloud infrastructure, data governance, and cybersecurity enhancements.

Key Duties:

  • Coordinate a group of interconnected IT projects as part of a broader program.

  • Define program-wide priorities, sequencing, and strategic direction.

  • Serve as a point of contact for executive stakeholders and business leaders.

  • Manage resource allocation, financials, and performance KPIs.

  • Identify and mitigate risks across program elements.

  • Create documentation including roadmaps, dashboards, and reports.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of program or portfolio leadership in IT.

  • PMP or PgMP certification preferred.

  • Strong grasp of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.

  • Proven leadership, fiscal, and communication skills.

  • Experience in government or regulated industries is advantageous.
