Part-Time Faculty, Exercise Science
Curry College has ongoing needs for part-time Faculty to teach in our Exercise Science program. Our curriculum prepares students for careers in strength and conditioning, clinical exercise physiology, rehabilitation sciences, fitness and wellness, and graduate study in allied health professions (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, athletic training, and related fields). All of our courses are taught in person on our Milton, MA campus. Days and hours of courses vary from semester to semester.
Part-time Faculty are responsible for planning and presenting course material for assigned lecture, laboratory, and/or applied experiential courses; defining specific course requirements and communicating them clearly to students; evaluating student performance on examinations, projects, laboratory competencies, and practical assessments; submitting grades in a timely manner; and providing students with clear feedback regarding their progress. Part-time Faculty are expected to be available to interact electronically with students outside the classroom and to support student professional development.
Courses available may include, but are not limited to:
Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Strength & Conditioning, Exercise Testing & Exercise Programming, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Nutrition for Health and Fitness, Performance Nutrition in Exercise and Sport, Research Methods in Exercise Science, Prevention and Care of Sports Injuries, etc.

Minimum of a Master's degree* in a field related to Exercise Science. Examples include but are not limited to: Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, Human Performance, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, etc.
Candidates should demonstrate relevant professional experience in fitness, performance, clinical, research or rehabilitation settings.
If applicable, candidate should demonstrate and maintain current nationally recognized professional certification or licensure appropriate to their professional area
Teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
- In certain cases, candidates with a Bachelor's degree and substantial professional experience may be considered.
$3,735 per 3 credit course
- Please note: Eligibility for promotion to Lecturer and an increased rate of compensation are negotiated between the College and the Curry College AAUP
