Key Job Details – Cath Lab Technologist

• Location: Brockton, MA 02301 (Greater Boston area)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour days, 4x10s per week
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: Evening and weekend call for emergency cardiac procedures
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3,030 – $3,110

Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• 2-3 years of recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including impella, telemetry, and IABP
• Proficient in reading telemetry strips and able to pass a telemetry exam (85% or better) on day 1
• Experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) preferred
• Valid Massachusetts RT (Radiologic Technologist) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) License
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications

Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform all Cardiac Catheterization Technologist duties under the supervision of the Chief Radiologic Technologist
• Conduct and document hemodynamic monitoring during cardiac procedures
• Assist with radiologic operations, quality control, and clinical support in the Cath Lab
• Perform daily calibration and maintenance of imaging and diagnostic equipment
• Prepare cardiology patients for invasive cardiac procedures
• Take evening and weekend call for emergency cardiac interventions
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all hospital and patient health information
• Demonstrate respect and professionalism toward patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Communicate effectively with diverse healthcare teams and external partners
• Participate in continuing education and training to maintain clinical proficiency
• Perform other related duties as assigned in the hospital setting
