You are

A Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure architect with deep expertise deploying and managing Oracle Utilities applications on OCI. You bring the strategic vision to design cloud architectures that meet enterprise-scale utility requirements and the technical depth to guide teams through the complexities of cloud migration, infrastructure design, and operational readiness. You are a trusted advisor to client technology executives and a respected technical authority within a delivery program — equally effective in the boardroom and in architecture review sessions.

The work

  • Serve as the primary Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architecture SME on a large-scale Oracle Utilities IT transition program, defining cloud architecture standards and guiding infrastructure design decisions.

  • Design and validate OCI reference architectures for Oracle Utilities application deployments, including compute, networking, storage, security, and high-availability configurations.

  • Lead cloud infrastructure workstream planning, including environment provisioning strategy, migration sequencing, and cloud operations model design.

  • Collaborate with functional leads, integration architects, and Oracle product teams to ensure application-level requirements are translated into robust OCI designs.

  • Define and enforce cloud security, compliance, and governance standards aligned with utility industry regulatory requirements.

  • Advise on Oracle Utilities cloud deployment patterns, OCI service selection, and cost optimization strategies.

  • Mentor senior technical team members on OCI architecture principles and Oracle Utilities cloud deployment best practices.

  • Engage client technology leadership to communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and strategic roadmap implications.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here’s what you need

  • Minimum 10 years of enterprise technology architecture experience, including a minimum of 5 years focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) design and deployment.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience architecting cloud solutions for Oracle Utilities applications (CC&B, C2M, CCS, MDM, or equivalent) on OCI or comparable cloud platforms.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior SME or principal architect role on a large-scale enterprise cloud migration or IT transformation program.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience

Bonus Points If

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect Professional or equivalent certification.

  • Experience with Oracle Utilities Cloud Native deployments and OCI-specific Oracle Utilities deployment patterns.

  • AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud architecture experience relevant to hybrid utility environments.

  • Prior experience presenting cloud architecture recommendations to utility C-suite or regulatory audiences.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience defining cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks for regulated utility or critical infrastructure environments.
