Senior Collections Specialist
Join Our Team: Collections Specialist Are you a master negotiator with a knack for problem-solving? We are looking for a Collections Specialist who understands that debt recovery is about building bridges, not burning them. In this role, you won't just be "chasing checks"—you’ll be a financial consultant for our clients, helping them find viable paths to settle their accounts
salary: $40 - $45 per hourshift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Outreach: Contacting individuals or businesses via phone and email to inquire about overdue payments.
- Negotiation: Setting up payment plans or settlements for customers who can’t pay the full balance immediately.
- Problem Solving: Resolving billing discrepancies or disputes that might be preventing payment.
- Documentation: Keeping meticulous records of all interactions and payment promises in the company database.
- Account Analysis: Reviewing aging reports to prioritize which accounts need the most urgent attention.
- Communication: The ability to be firm yet polite (the "velvet hammer" approach).
- Persistence: Dealing with "no" or avoided calls without getting discouraged.
- Math & Data Entry: Quickly calculating interest or settlement percentages and ensuring data is accurate.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with laws like the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) to ensure everything is legal and ethical.
