Teacher, ELL and Moderate Disabilities (SY26-27)

English Language Learners and Moderate Disabilities Teacher (SY2627) Dudley Street Neighborhood Charter School is seeking an ELL and Moderate Disabilities teacher to join our school community for the 20262027 school year. About Dudley Street Dudley Street Neighborhood Charter School is a Horace Mann in-district charter school within Boston Public Schools serving grades PreK5. Founded by the Boston Plan for Excellence (BPE) and the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI), our school is rooted in deep community partnership and a commitment to ensuring all students in the Dudley neighborhood have access to a joyful and rigorous education. Our Teachers Dudley Street teachers create classrooms where students do the intellectual heavy lifting. Teachers design learning experiences that challenge students to think deeply, explain their reasoning, and engage actively with ideas and one another. Our teachers:

Responsibilities The 2nd Grade Teacher will: Instruction and Compliance

• Promote integrated service delivery of special education and ESL services within the context of an inclusion model, in order to provide a respectful and engaging school environment for all students.
• Participate in the effective implementation of the schoolwide Response to Intervention (RtI) program.
• Identify and serve special needs and English language learners; provide small-group instruction to students; arrange special education or ESL evaluations when necessary.
• Participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and other relevant meetings.
• Promote ambitious IEP goal-setting and work diligently to ensure that students meet planned objectives.
• Maintain appropriate records and data to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Collaboration and Professional Learning

• Collaborate regularly with grade-level teams and specialists to plan instruction and analyze student work
• Engage actively in coaching, observation, and feedback cycles
• Collaborate in the development of relevant PD for staff that includes data-informed, research-based instructional and social-emotional-behavioral practices
• Contribute to a culture of continuous adult learning and reflection
• Support Boston Teacher Residency residents as part of the schools Teaching Academy model

Family and Community Partnership

• Build authentic, respectful relationships with families
• Communicate regularly with caregivers about student learning and progress
• Partner with families to support students academic and social-emotional development

Qualifications

• Deep belief in the Dudley Street mission and commitment to educational equity
• Massachusetts teaching license in ESL and Special Education, and SEI endorsement (required)
• Demonstrated ability to support the learning of diverse student populations
• Strong instructional planning and classroom management skills
• Commitment to collaboration and professional growth
