Financial Systems Manager / Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite

Our client, a well-established professional services organization in the Boston area, is seeking a Financial Systems Manager or Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a financial systems professional who enjoys optimizing financial applications, partnering with finance and IT, and driving system enhancements that improve business operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting enterprise financial systems, with strong technical expertise in Aderant and SQL, along with the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure system reliability, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator and support resource for the organization's financial systems, with a strong focus on Aderant.
• Manage day-to-day system maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Lead financial system upgrades, testing, implementations, and enhancement projects.
• Ensure data integrity across financial applications through regular audits, validation, and system controls.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and dashboards to support Finance and business operations.
• Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to identify system improvements and streamline business processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues, resolve data discrepancies, and provide timely support to end users.
• Document system processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in change management initiatives, user training, and adoption of new system functionality.
• Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, reporting capabilities, and overall system performance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience supporting financial systems in a professional services environment.
• Hands-on experience administering and supporting Aderant.
• Experience managing financial system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations.
• Strong SQL and database management skills.
• Experience developing financial reports and resolving complex system issues.
• Demonstrated success maintaining data integrity and improving business processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across Finance, Accounting, and IT teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within a law firm is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Aderant Expert.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, SSRS, and Power BI.
• Experience with Intapp, Microsoft Dynamics, or other enterprise ERP and financial systems.
• Experience supporting financial reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
