Job Overview

Burke & Sons Plumbing & Heating INC is seeking a dependable and experienced HVAC Service Technician with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to join our growing residential service team. This role focuses on diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems, with a strong emphasis on natural gas and propane heating systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, and heat pumps
• Service and troubleshoot natural gas and propane heating systems
• Perform seasonal maintenance, inspections, and system tune-ups
• Install HVAC equipment and related components as needed
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues efficiently
• Clearly communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners
• Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle
• Follow all safety procedures, company standards, and local code requirements
• Maintain a clean and professional jobsite at each customer’s home

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC service experience (required)
• Strong experience working with natural gas and propane heating systems (required)
• EPA Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work independently while maintaining efficiency and quality
• Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality workmanship

Work Schedule

• Full-Time

• Field-based residential service throughout the local service area
• Local travel required; no overnight travel expected
