The Construction Controller plays a critical role in overseeing financial operations within construction projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost management, and fiscal reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage budgets and monitor project expenditures to ensure cost control
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for stakeholder review
- Forecast project financial outcomes and update forecasts as necessary
- Analyze cash flow to maintain liquidity and project funding
- GAAP
- Identify and mitigate financial risks related to construction activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
- Coordinate billing processes and reconcile accounts
- Process accounts payable and manage financial data within Viewpoint software
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in construction finance
- Viewpoint/Vista Experience
- GAAP
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management
- Expertise in construction accounting, budgeting, and cost estimation
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of audit compliance standards
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail
