Litigation Paralegal
Melick & Porter, LLP, a mid-sized civil defense law firm located in downtown Boston, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. This full-time role requires a highly organized, adaptable individual to provide essential legal support to multiple attorneys across different teams.

Role Responsibilities:
Candidates will work with attorneys as part of a collaborative team to provide a full range of litigation support including, but not limited to the following:
- Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments.
- Support and drive case management, including managing workflows, task lists, status updates, docketing deadlines, and case organization.
- Tracking, organizing, and preparing Litigation Materials going to counsel, experts, and other witnesses.
- Assist in preparing drafts of notices, motions, and other case related documents.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, clerks, and insurance agencies.
- Billing experience preferred.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with 2 plus years of work experience in civil litigation preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the potential and desire to grow in the role.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; organizational and time management skills and a client-friendly and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work in a group setting, as well as independently, on several projects simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other office tools, including document management platforms.
