Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking a Full-Time Q/C Lab & Technician for our client in Salem, Ma. This hybrid role combines lab responsibilities with production support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with chemicals, batching equipment, and filling lines.

Compensation: $23–$25/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM start

Responsibilities:

Lab & Batching

• Prepare and test product samples (pH, viscosity, etc.)
• Follow batch formulas accurately and maintain precise records (lot numbers, weights, raw materials)
• Prepare SDS sheets and Certificates of Analysis for each batch
• Update product formulas as needed
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain batching equipment, tanks, mixers, and utensils
• Retain and log samples from each batch produced
• Proper storage, handling, and labeling of raw materials and chemicals
• Assist with DI water tank changeovers

Production & Quality Assurance

• Complete pre-run checklists before filling lines start
• Conduct quality checks (fill levels, label placement, cap tightness, weight, appearance, odor)
• Stop production lines if QA standards are not met
• Randomly inspect finished goods on pallets
• Train and monitor employees on safety, sanitation, and GMP compliance
• Ensure proper attire and PPE are worn on the production floor

Sanitation & Facility Care

• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace; daily sweeping and trash removal
• Wash floors and equipment weekly with high-temperature water and scrubber
• Ensure filling lines, washout room, lunchroom, and bathrooms are kept clean and hazard-free

Requirements:

• Prior lab or manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety procedures
• Willingness to complete forklift training (if not already certified)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Dependable, flexible, and able to work both independently and with a team
