Automotive Transmission Technicians needed

Job Summary: Central GMC of Norwood is seeking skilled Automotive Transmission Technicians to join our team. This is a full-time, position in the auto industry located in Norwood, Massachusetts. The role is an individual contributor who will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive transmissions for our customers. • Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles' transmissions to identify any issues or malfunctions
• Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and software to assist in diagnostics and repairs
• Repair or replace damaged or worn-out transmission components
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and technical instructions for repairs and maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and tools
• Keep accurate records of work performed and time spent on each vehicle
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication to ensure customer satisfaction
• Strive to complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in automotive transmissions

Requirements:

• Experience with CDK and Xtime preferred
• Previous experience as an Automotive Transmission Technician
• Strong knowledge of automotive transmission systems and components
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining quality work
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
