Shining Rock Golf Club is a premier public golf course located in Northbridge, Massachusetts. Our team is committed to delivering a high-quality golf experience through strong service, efficient operations, and excellent course conditions.

The Starter / Ranger is responsible for managing the flow of play on the golf course while ensuring a positive and professional guest experience. This role plays a key part in maintaining pace of play, assisting golfers, and supporting overall course operations. The position also supports outside services and course presentation as needed.

• Manage the first tee and ensure groups start on time according to the tee sheet
  
• Communicate clearly with golfers regarding pace of play expectations, course rules, and daily conditions
  
• Monitor pace of play on the course and proactively address slow play in a professional manner
  
• Provide friendly, helpful interaction with guests to enhance the overall golf experience
  
• Coordinate with pro shop and outside services staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  
• Assist outside services with cleaning, staging, and returning golf carts as needed
  
• Fill divots and assist with basic on-course maintenance to support course conditions
  
• Pick the driving range and assist with cleaning and organizing range balls when needed
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of staging areas and practice facilities
  
• Report any course issues, safety concerns, or guest feedback to management
  
• Uphold standards of professionalism, service, and course presentation

• Ability to work independently and interact with guests in a professional manner
  
• Reliable with a strong sense of accountability
  
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  
• Golf knowledge preferred but not required
