A full-time physician is sought by the Massachusetts General Hospital/MGPO - Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism to join a busy clinical practice which includes primarily outpatient but some inpatient care. The candidate must have expertise in performing Thyroid Nodule Fine Needle Aspiration biopsies as well as the care of patients with conventional and advanced thyroid cancer.

Our thyroid practice draws patients with all varieties of thyroid disorders from the Massachusetts General Hospital practices but also receives local, regional, national and international referrals. Although the majority of our patients have thyroid disorders, our clinicians also see patients with parathyroid and adrenal disorders and have the option of seeing patients with other endocrine disorders as well. As a member of the Thyroid Unit, candidates are expected to pursue academic interests including responsibilities for teaching endocrine fellows as well as medical students and house staff. An academic appointment at Harvard Medical school will be at the Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, as determined by the applicants' credentials.

Requirements

Requires M.D. or D.O. degree or equivalent with training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology via completion of ACGME-accredited residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Must be board certified in Endocrinology.
