Position Overview

Our team is seeking a dependable and self-motivated individual to support weekend operations and facility upkeep.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations, the Facilities Associate plays an important role in ensuring that the facility remains clean, organized, and ready for concerts, rehearsals, and educational programming. This position focuses on post-event cleaning recovery, room and event setups, and general facility upkeep tasks.

This role requires a candidate who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. There will be times when the associate is the only facilities staff member on site, so strong self-direction, reliability, and good judgment are essential.

Schedule

This is a part-time, hourly, in-person position at a rate of $21 per hour scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week , typically:

● Friday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

● Saturday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

● Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Some schedule flexibility is required to accommodate special events or facility needs, and additional hours may be available during busier periods.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

● Assist with cleaning of major performance spaces, ensuring these spaces are restored to a clean and orderly condition after regular use.

● Perform general cleaning duties throughout the facility including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance.

● Empty trash and recycling and dispose of waste according to facility guidelines.

● Assist with event setups and breakdowns, including arranging chairs, tables, music stands, staging elements, and other equipment.

● Support configuration changes throughout the facility for concerts, rehearsals, and educational programs.

● Monitor the cleanliness and presentation of both interior and exterior areas including common spaces, rehearsal rooms, restrooms, and public gathering areas.

● Assist with basic facilities upkeep and minor maintenance tasks as directed.

● Respond to internal service requests and operational needs in a timely and professional manner.

● Assist with seasonal facility needs, including preparation for changing weather conditions and snow removal.

● Communicate any facility concerns, maintenance needs, or safety issues to the Assistant Director of Operations.

● Respond to unexpected operational needs or emergencies that arise during scheduled shifts.

● Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

Candidates should be dependable, proactive, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high standard of care for the facility.

Previous experience in custodial work, facilities support, event operations, or a similar role is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

● Strong reliability and punctuality.

● Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean and welcoming spaces.

● Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools is helpful.

● Good communication and teamwork skills.

● Customer-service mindset when interacting with staff, artists, and guests.

● Ability to lift and move equipment or furniture (50 lbs or greater).

● Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time.

● Comfort working evenings, weekends, and occasional schedule adjustments based on facility needs.
