Physical Therapist Job Details

• Position Type: Locum Tenens Physical Therapist (Travel Contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-Based Outpatient Neuro Rehab Facility
• Location: Dorchester, MA 02125 – Boston area
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 2, 2025 – November 29, 2025)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,470 - $2,540 per week
• Shift Schedule: 8-hour shifts
  • Monday & Wednesday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Workdays: Monday through Friday (No weekends, no major holidays, no on-call)
• Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) License
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in outpatient rehab (2+ years preferred)
• Neuro rehabilitation experience required
• BLS certification for healthcare providers (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Proficient in patient handling and transfer techniques
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Team player with a positive attitude

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to patients in an outpatient neuro rehab setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for neuro, women's health, vestibular, and pelvic rehab specialties
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards
• Demonstrate excellent patient handling and transfer techniques to ensure safety and comfort
