Inventory Accountant POST NUMBER: 484049

Our client, a global leader in industrial packaging and container manufacturing, is seeking a Junior Cost Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance professional with 2–6 years of experience who is looking to build a career in manufacturing finance and cost accounting. In this role, you'll work closely with plant operations and finance leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, identify process improvements, and support operational decision-making within a world-class manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing, labor, inventory, and production costs
• Investigate cost variances and assist with root cause analysis
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc cost analysis reports
• Support month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting
• Estimate product costs for both existing and new products
• Monitor changes in production processes and evaluate financial impact
• Assist with inventory analysis, standard costing, and cost forecasting
• Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Participate in financial audits and support internal controls
• Perform additional financial analysis and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–6 years of accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis experience
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
