School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Amergis Educational Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students within the Boston, MA area. This is a full-time, in-person position with the opportunity to work across multiple school sites, supporting high caseload needs in a collaborative educational environment.

Position Details

• Location: Boston, MA

• Start Date: ASAP

• Schedule: 32.5 hours per week

• Pay Rate: Up to $65/hour , based on experience and licensure

Position Overview

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation, therapy, and consultation services to students across a wide range of grade levels, from Pre-K through high school (and post-secondary transition programs, as applicable) . This role will likely involve supporting multiple school sites to assist with increased caseload demands.

The ideal candidate is flexible, student-centered, and experienced in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform student assessments and evaluations using appropriate tools

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs

• Provide direct occupational therapy services in alignment with each student's plan of care, IEP, or 504 Plan

• Document all services accurately and in a timely manner

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers

• Provide consultation and recommendations to support student participation and success in the educational setting

• Travel between school sites as needed to support caseload requirements

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed (OTR/L) licensure

• Pediatric or school-based experience required

• Ability to work in person across multiple locations

• Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills

Minimum Requirements:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of practice

• One (1) year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
