Senior Placement Specialist
Marsh is seeking candidates for our open Senior Placement Specialist position based in our NYC office. This is a hybrid schedule and will be in the office 3x per week.
What can you expect:- Becoming a member of Marsh's best in class Placement team who delivers expert broking & strategy solutions to help manage risk with confidence.
- In this Sr. Placement Specialist role, you will develop an understanding of the clients' business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs to help provide knowledge and advice to complex clients.
- Builds and maintains relationships with underwriters, and is involved in the placement of sophisticated insurance programs
- Helps identify the need for new products and develops innovative solutions for clients.
- Completes policy management activities and delivery of reviewed policy to client and helps address client inquiries as necessary.
- Delivers technical expertise in the delivery and presentation of RFP’s

We will count on you to:
- Instruct placement strategy by utilizing risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop placement solutions that meet complex client needs.
- Develop methods for the go-to-market strategy and provides input on pricing of services supporting client retention and new business production.
- Guide strong working relations with carriers and or underwriters to create innovative approaches to unique client needs and provide cohesive client service.
- Audit and finalizes commission structure with underwriter in accordance with client direction and agreement.
- Achieve a thorough understanding of changing insurance, risk market conditions, and informs client teams, clients and carriers of major developments affecting various types of coverage.
- Applies advanced knowledge to the firm’s product lines by active participation in internal networks.
- Devise new products and innovative solutions that address complex client needs.
What you need to have:
- 8-10 years industry experience
- Excess Casualty experience a must
- P&C license a must, or ability to obtain
- Bachelors' degree preferred

All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person. The applicable base salary range for this role is $120,500 to $256,700. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
