Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6a-7p or 6p-7a); weekend coverage required (Friday nights count as weekend shifts); ideal for local providers
Highlights:
- Teaching hospital ICU setting with 10-bed unit and average daily census of 7 adult patients
- Responding clinician role with no procedures – bread and butter ICU and medical-surgical care with occasional burn patients
- Supervised team environment with 4 APPs on staff; MD supervision during day shifts and fellow/attending supervision during night shifts
- Epic EMR system in use
- Morning and afternoon rounding with attending physician
- Local candidates preferred due to commuting requirements
Requirements:
- Physician Assistant (PA) only – must hold or be eligible for Massachusetts PA license (3-5 week processing time)
- Board certification in Acute Care required
- 2+ years of critical care/ICU experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Active DEA registration required
- 90-day credentialing timeframe
