Setting: Hospital-level NICU/Continuing Care Nursery, 4-bed unit, equipped with the latest neonatal technologies and care protocols. Key Highlights

- Setting: Level 1B NICU/Continuing Care Nursery, 4-bed unit
- Travel assignment with profile-based credentialing requirements Responsibilities
- Provide direct neonatal nursing care for infants in a Level 1B NICU/Continuing Care Nursery, including infants with moderate health issues.
- Monitor respiratory status and support needs, including High Flow nasal cannula and other noninvasive ventilation; manage TTN as applicable.
- Administer medications, fluids, and feeds per physician orders; monitor blood glucose and stabilize levels as needed.
- Collaborate with the NICU team using the Eat, Sleep, Console approach and participate in care planning with physicians, nurses, and therapists.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the Meditech Expanse electronic medical record; ensure accurate and timely charting.
- Respond to neonatal emergencies, perform resuscitation as needed, and assist with stabilization and transfers per protocol. Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (Massachusetts RN license) must be uploaded with profile
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience; Level 1B NICU or higher experience required
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency license (Nursing Pool) required to be uploaded with traveler profile
- Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred
- Experience with Eat, Sleep, Console (ESC) approach required; TTN (Transient Tachypnea) management experience required
- Experience with high-flow nasal cannula, blood glucose stabilization, and infants requiring respiratory support required
- Own vehicle and ability to provide permanent address in profile; travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of submittal and not exceed 5 days; profile must include any time off requests
- Candidates must have the ability to work in a hospital NICU setting and participate in rotating shifts as needed Benefits and Support
