Journeyman Network Services Engineer

Avint, LLC is seeking a dedicated and motivated  Journeyman Network Services Engineer to join our team.

**This position is 100% on-site at Hanscom AFB, MA**

• Must be a US citizen
• Active secret clearance
• 3+ years experience in a network engineering position
• Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls
• Must be able to use/configure/troubleshoot/operate Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and/or HP network devices

Responsibilities

• Support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with DoD AF policies: TRDs, I-plans, TCTOs, 1067s, etc.
• Rudimentary knowledge of cyber security

Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:

• Analyzing and recommending network requirements.
• Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
• Analyzing network workload.
• Monitoring network capacity and performance.
• Diagnosing and resolving network problems.
• Recommending network backup and recovery procedures.
• Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
