Base Pay: $28 - $38/hour + Benefits
Reports to: Site Superintendent or Project Manager
Location: MA (eastern and central) & RI

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Carpenter at Popularis Construction, you’ll play a critical role in executing detailed work on residential and commercial projects. You’ll perform rough and finish carpentry with precision and efficiency, ensuring that each project meets our rigorous standards of quality and craftsmanship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CRAFTSMANSHIP & QUALITY

• Execute rough and finish carpentry with precision and attention to detail.

• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship in all phases of work—from framing to trim installation.

• Work efficiently to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.

• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, millwork, and specialty features as per architectural plans and specifications.

• Identify and resolve issues in the field proactively to keep projects moving forward.

PRODUCTIVITY & EXECUTION

• Maintain a steady pace of work while adhering to quality expectations and safety protocols.

• Review plans and details to understand scope and required execution techniques.

• Collaborate with Site Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.

• Keep work areas organized, safe, and free of unnecessary waste or delays.

• Coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless project execution.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

• Use tools and equipment properly and maintain them in good working condition.

• Comply with building codes and company standards in all work performed.

WHAT YOU BRING

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

• 3-7 years of experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction.

• Solid knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents.

• Commitment to delivering precise, high-quality work at an efficient pace.

SKILLS & TECHNOLOGY

• Skilled in the safe operation of power tools and hand tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to field conditions.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• A mindset for efficiency, continuous improvement, and pride in craftsmanship.

REQUIREMENTS

• Action-oriented, self-starter with high standards for quality and pace.

• A strong desire to improve both the tools we use and processes we implement to lead the quality of the product we deliver

• A strong desire to build with intention

• Valid driver’s license (Massachusetts or bordering state) and reliable transportation.

• Ability to work on multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.

• Physically able to perform demanding carpentry work, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
