job summary:
Process Engineer opening for an immediate direct hire just outside of Concord, Massachusetts! This key position will be responsible for ensuring plant production and equipment operates to its maximum capacity. The role at hand will be working closely with the production teams ensuring company targets for utilization, output and cost are met. This continuous improvement focus will optimize new and existing processes while maintaining/improving quality standards and establish processes for new product lines.

The right person will collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams to address areas of improvement relating to redundancy, scheduling, material needs, inventory management, maintenance needs etc. to reduce overall downtime.

The right person for this role will have a BS in engineering along with 4+ years of proven experience hands-on continuous improvement. This person will also have knowledge utilizing and implementing CI tools such as 5S, Kaizen, etc. as well techniques such as statistical analysis, statistical process control, takt time, value stream mapping, 6S, SMED, TPM, OEE.

responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and develop and implement continuous improvement projects and initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.

  • Align current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvement and implement any new KPI's.

  • Develop, review and update documentation related to internal processes and procedures ensuring accuracy, clarity and production utilization and utilize visual tools and methodologies to create visual process documentation and systems.

  • Work with all levels of staff to promote and implement improvement ideas and culture

  • Participate in meetings to improve business processes and procedures and perform Root Cause and Failure Analysis (RCFAs).

  • Create effective communication plans to drive adoption and engagement.
Requirements

  • BS in engineering along with 4+ years of proven experience hands-on continuous improvement.

  • Knowledge utilizing and implementing continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Kaizen, etc. as well techniques such as statistical analysis, statistical process control, takt time, value stream mapping, 6S, SMED, TPM, OEE.

  • Lean/Six Sigma experience; preferably green belt certified

  • Understanding of TPM implementation and improvement processes

  • Proven communication, creative problem solving, analytical, data and decision-making skills

  • Excellent IT skills with knowledge of Office products with high technical skills for excel, word, and PowerPoint to develop tools and track KPI's

  • Exceptional Project, and organizational skills with high degree of attention to detail.
