The Marketing and Business Development (MBD) Technology Manager oversees a core set of MBD Technology platforms and workflows that support digital experience, visual communications, and engagement execution across the firm. Reporting to the Associate Director of MBD Technology, this role manages a team responsible for digital experience optimization, SEO, analytics support, and visual communications execution. The Manager ensures platforms, tools, and processes are reliable, well-governed, and effectively adopted, while partnering closely with other MBD Technology leaders-including Relationship Intelligence, Insights, and Enablement-to deliver a cohesive, data-informed technology ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities Platform & Workflow Ownership- Oversee day-to-day management and optimization of MBD Technology platforms and emerging tools supporting digital experience, website engagement, email production, analytics, SEO, and related marketing and business development workflows.
- Ensure platforms and workflows meet usability, accessibility, brand, data quality, and measurement standards.
- Identify workflow gaps, inefficiencies, or risks and implement approved improvements in coordination with the AD of MBD Technology. Team Leadership & Delivery Oversight
- Directly manage and develop the Digital Experience & Insights Specialist and Senior Visual Communications Designer.
- Set priorities, allocate work, and ensure consistent quality, timely delivery, and alignment with team and department goals.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development support. Digital Experience, SEO & Performance Enablement
- Lead digital experience, SEO, and related performance initiatives in partnership with the Digital Experience & Insights Specialist.
- Ensure performance data, dashboards, and reporting are reliable and aligned with broader MBD insights and intelligence efforts.
- Enable Marketing and Business Development teams to effectively use digital and performance data in collaboration with Insights and Enablement functions. Taxonomy, Data Quality & Integration Support
- Support taxonomy implementation and governance across digital platforms, and other MBD technology platforms, ensuring alignment with firmwide standards.
- Partner with the IT Integrations team on cross-platform data flows, API requirements, and integration architecture.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across MBD Technology systems.
- Contribute to firmwide data lake initiatives by ensuring MBD digital and engagement data is structured and accessible. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between Marketing & BD, IT, and external vendors for assigned platforms and initiatives, and support cross-functional coordination for new or emerging tools, workflows, and technology needs as they are introduced. Platform Governance, Enablement & Operations
- Develop and maintain platform documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the team delivers responsive, high-quality support and builds resources that enable stakeholder self-service.
- Support platform governance, standards, and roadmap planning, including testing and implementation of new tools or enhancements.
- Manage vendor coordination, including scoping, timelines, quality assurance, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management for owned platforms.
- Champion adoption of digital tools and templates by making the right way the easy way.
- This role requires 60% in-office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in MBD Technology, digital platforms, or related roles within a professional services or similarly complex environment.
- Prior experience managing direct reports or leading complex workflows.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, MBD Technology workflows, SEO fundamentals, and performance measurement.
- Familiarity with taxonomy design, metadata management, and data governance principles.
- Ability to partner effectively across analytics, CRM, enablement, creative, and IT functions.
- Experience developing user documentation, training materials, or enablement resources.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service.
- Ability to balance operational execution with strategic alignment.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence others.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, prioritize multiple projects on a daily basis, and adjust to shifting priorities.
