Position Summary:

We're looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to establish and lead Welch's Data, Analytics, Automation & AI Center of Excellence (CoE). This role is ideal for a business-minded leader who is passionate about turning data into insights, improving productivity through automation, and enabling responsible use of AI across the organization.

Reporting to the CFO, you will partner closely with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and other business leaders to build trusted data, modern analytics capabilities, and scalable automation solutions that drive measurable business value. Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration and relationship building while balancing flexibility and well-being. Employees are in office three days per week, with Thursdays and Fridays as remote, flex days.

What You'll Do:

Lead Welch's Data, Analytics, Automation & AI Strategy

  • Establish and lead the Data, Analytics, Automation & AI Center of Excellence.
  • Develop the roadmap, governance model, and priorities that enable trusted data, actionable insights, automation, and responsible AI across the enterprise.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities that drive growth, productivity, and better decision-making.

Build Trusted Data & Reporting Capabilities

  • Establish data governance, stewardship, data quality, and reporting standards.
  • Define enterprise metrics and trusted sources of data to improve consistency and confidence in decision-making.
  • Lead ERP data management, master data governance, and reporting capabilities as Welch's continues its digital transformation.
  • Enable self-service analytics and trusted data products that empower teams to make better decisions.

Accelerate Automation & AI Adoption

  • Identify, prioritize, and scale automation and AI solutions that improve efficiency and business performance.
  • Establish responsible AI practices and enable adoption of emerging technologies across the organization.
  • Partner with teams to redesign processes and unlock new ways of working.
  • Build organizational capability through training, change management, and communities of practice that accelerate adoption of data, automation, and AI.

Deliver Business Value Through Enterprise Partnerships

  • Build strong partnerships across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and other functions.
  • Manage a portfolio of data, analytics, automation, and AI initiatives, measuring adoption and business impact.
  • Lead external partners and vendors while developing internal capabilities and a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team or partner network across data strategy, governance, master data, analytics, automation, and AI.

Who You Are:

  • Business-first leader who leverages data, analytics, automation, and AI to solve problems and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strategic thinker who balances long-term vision with practical execution.
  • Trusted partner who builds strong relationships and influences across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Change agent who can simplify complexity, drive adoption, and help teams embrace new ways of working.
  • Strong communicator who translates technical concepts into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborative leader who develops talent, fosters accountability, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Curious and innovative mindset with a passion for leveraging technology to improve performance and enable growth.

What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of experience in data, analytics, business intelligence, automation, digital transformation, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence practices.
  • Working knowledge of AI, automation, and modern analytics tools and platforms.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change.
  • Experience with ERP transformations, master data management, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, food & beverage, agriculture, or supply chain-intensive industries is a plus.
