Position: Payroll Clerk (Full-Time)

Location: Hopedale, MA

Job Summary
Marguerite Concrete, Inc. is seeking a full-time Payroll Clerk to join our team at our Hopedale, MA location. The Payroll Clerk will perform various functions to ensure the effective and efficient payment of salaries and wages to staff and employees. The Payroll Clerk serves as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, maintains accurate records, and supports compliance with all applicable federal and state laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Gathers and tracks time records of employees.

· Acts as a receptionist to the payroll department by fielding and answering employee questions.

· Processes monthly/weekly collective bargaining reports for various union trades.

· Processes monthly/weekly job-specific payroll reporting.

· Maintains records of regular deductions from employees' payments such as health care, garnishments, and other special payroll deductions.

· Assists in coordinating efforts between the payroll department and other departments for payroll-related documents.

· Monitors the use of the electronic timekeeping system including employee setup.

· Maintains employee records in the online system, including the correct and timely entry of changes in employee status.

· Completes additional tasks as assigned by the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work objectives.

· Excellent computer skills.

· High level of energy and initiative.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Ability to flourish in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

· Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $48,000 – $52,000 annually.

· Health, Dental, Vision – 75% of premiums paid by Marguerite. Eligible to enroll on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.

· 401(k) – Eligible to start contributing upon hire.

· Yearly Profit Sharing.

· Boston Mutual – Voluntary Insurance (Group Accident, Illness, & Whole Life).

· Boston Mutual – Life & AD&D $50k coverage – Eligible after 90 days of employment.
