Your Responsibilities:

We are seeking a full-time Portfolio Operations & Occupancy Specialist to join our team in the Worcester area. This Specialist will provide operational and compliance support across multiple affordable housing properties. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide short-term operational support at assigned properties based on project and portfolio needs.
  • Assist with LIHTC and affordable housing compliance projects.
  • Complete annual and interim recertifications.
  • Support lease-up activities and waitlist management.
  • Coordinate third-party verifications and compliance reporting.
  • Assist with rent collection and subsidy follow-up.
  • Respond to resident concerns and resolve issues as needed.
  • Support inspections, audits, and corrective action projects.
  • Assist with unit turnover coordination and occupancy goals.
  • Utilize Yardi for reporting, tracking, and property management functions.
  • Provide temporary site coverage during staffing vacancies or transitions.

The work hours are Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 with some flexibility. Your workweek will be split between properties in the Worcester area with some travel between properties required.

Your Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy. This position will also require the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to multitask and manage time effectively, and the willingness to learn and take direction. Candidates who are interested in gaining experience in affordable housing management and property operations while developing their leadership and management skills are encouraged to apply.

  • Previous experience in property management and affordable housing program administration (LIHTC and Section 8) is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required; experience with Yardi is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

Salary Range: $60,000-65,000 depending on previous experience.
