Oncology Veterinary Coordinator
Join Our Team as an Oncology Coordinator!
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for exotic animals and outstanding organizational skills? At Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH) located in West Springfield, we’re seeking an Oncology Veterinary Coordinator to support our Medical Oncology team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client and patient care.
- Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- $20 – $25
- Shift Differential where applicable
As the Oncology Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our department, supporting our specialists and delivering top-notch service to clients and referring veterinarians (RDVMs). Key duties include:
- Acting as a liaison between the hospital, RDVMs, and clients to ensure clear communication and timely updates.
- Scheduling consultations, rechecks, and procedures for oncology patients, while maintaining accurate records and estimates.
- Preparing client and patient files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and organized.
- Monitoring and addressing oncology department emails, prescription refill requests, lab results, and appointment confirmations.
- Coordinating daily task lists for doctors and technicians to ensure seamless workflows.
- Sending client updates, sympathy cards, and RDVM communications promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining and purging oncology files in accordance with hospital policies.

We are a 24- hour, VECCS Level 2 Certified , state-of-the-art Emergency + Specialty veterinary hospital. Like human medical specialists, VESH supports primary care veterinarians with the evaluation and treatment of pets affected by trauma, chronic issues, serious illness, or unusual disorders requiring advanced training along with providing critical & emergency pet care. We offer a variety of specialty services including Advanced Imaging (CT), Internal Medicine, Surgery, and of course Emergency and Critical Care.
