Family Advocate(s)
The Family Advocate (FA) position works closely with the HS/EHS staff, educators and parents to provide comprehensive education and health services to children. The FA supports the parent(s) in accomplishing goals that the parent(s) set for their family. This is accomplished through home-visiting, conferencing and accountability check-ins. The FA must have good interpersonal skills including listening, a non-judgmental approach and compassion. The minimum requirements for the FA is a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field; which can be achieved within 18 months of hire if applicant does not have the credential or certification. A BS or AS in social work or human services and experience with the MA EEC childcare subsidy system is preferred. Bi-lingual English/Spanish candidates encouraged to apply. The position is 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Salary range: $22.04 to $26.54 dependent upon education and experience.
