Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Pay Rate: $23.00/hr
Location: Boston, MA 02111
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (rotating shifts 8:00–4:30 or 9:30–6:00); closed on weekends and national holidays. Overtime and overnight coverage may be required.

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy in Boston, MA. Our specialty pharmacy focuses on Oncology, MS, Hepatitis, HIV, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Transplant, and Gastrointestinal diseases.

Position Summary:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support patients and pharmacists by processing and filling prescriptions, handling refill calls, scheduling deliveries, answering phones, and assisting with prior authorizations, copay assistance, and benefits verification. This role requires working in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent service to a diverse patient base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process, fill, and ring out prescriptions accurately.
• Handle refill calls and coordinate delivery of medications to patients.
• Assist with prior authorizations, copay assistance programs, and benefits verification.
• Answer patient and provider phone inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to support business needs.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and procedures.
• Learn and apply new operating systems, pharmacology knowledge, and medical technology.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Valid Pharmacy Technician License in Massachusetts.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
• Previous experience in a specialty pharmacy environment.
