Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (locum tenens)
• Location: Boston, MA 02215 – Massachusetts healthcare opportunity
• Facility Setting: Inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery – OR West (10 operating rooms)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/3/2026)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Shift Options: Day shift – 4x10 hour shifts (7:00am–5:30pm) or 2x12 hour shifts (7:00am–7:30pm) plus 2x8 hour shifts (7:00am–3:30pm)
• On-Call: Up to 2 weekends/month (call or working shifts); short call shifts 1–2 times per week
• Orientation: 1st week; weekly orientation sessions
• Float: Primarily West Main campus; may float to East or CVI OR
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3000-$3080

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Proven experience in NEURO, ORTHO TRAUMA, and KIDNEY TRANSPLANT procedures
• Scrub and/or circulate experience in general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, trauma
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (no local travelers)
• Ability to respond to on-call within 30 minutes
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application
• Travelers who have worked at the facility as permanent or per diem staff within the last six months are not eligible

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing diverse surgical procedures
• Scrub and/or circulate in the OR for general, trauma, neuro, ortho, transplant, and robotic surgeries
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation and short call shifts as scheduled
• Float to other operating room units as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
• Promote a culture of safety and excellence in patient care
