Tax Analyst – Investment Management
Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid, 2+ days onsite)
Base Salary: $120K–$150K

We’re working with a well-established investment management organization that supports a top-tier educational institution. The team is expanding and looking to add a Tax Analyst who enjoys working across a diverse set of investment entities and collaborating with both internal and external partners. It’s a great fit for someone with a strong technical tax background who wants to work in a thoughtful, mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Associate Director of Finance and the central tax team with tax compliance for a range of investment entities, including 1065s, 8802s, 1042s, PFICs, and foreign-controlled corporations.

• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure filings are accurate and completed on time.

• Work closely with accounting and reporting teams on investment accounting and financial statement items.

• Review and analyze excise taxes, investment income, and other tax-related matters.

• Help manage regulatory reporting requirements for both U.S. and international jurisdictions.

• Assist with audits and the preparation of financial statements for investment affiliates.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in asset management, investment management, or private funds tax/accounting.

• Solid knowledge of GAAP and tax rules applicable to investment companies and fund structures.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.

• Comfortable with Microsoft Office; fair value financial reporting experience is a plus.

• Must be able to work from the Cambridge office at least two days per week.
