Staff Accountant – Hedge Fund – Up to $105k + Bonus!

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join an accounting and finance team. This role provides excellent exposure to complex financial reporting, international accounting operations, and a highly competitive compensation structure. The Staff Accountant will work on journal entries, reconciliations, GAAP reporting, and FP&A analysis while gaining valuable experience in the financial services industry.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: Up to $105,000
• Bonus: 10–15% annual target
• Profit Sharing: 12% of base + bonus contributed annually to retirement plan (regardless of employee contribution)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries for domestic and international entities
• Perform month-end account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Calculate intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation adjustments
• Contribute to FP&A analysis for select line items on a monthly basis
• Assist with external audits and preparation of GAAP financial statements
• Reconcile investment holdings statements for corporate entities

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or large firm strongly preferred) or corporate accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA certification (completed or in process)
• Hands-on exposure to general ledger maintenance, month/year-end close, and audit processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong overall Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit processes

Nice-to-Have:

• Background in asset management or financial services
• Experience in management company accounting
• Familiarity with international consolidations and eliminations
• Knowledge of QuickBooks or Workday accounting systems
