Home Equity Loan Analyst
Under the direction of the SVP/ Residential Lending, responsible for application input, disclosing and processing all branch and online originated home equity loans.
Responsibilities:
- Works both independently and collaboratively as a team with branches, attorney's, closing, loan servicing, operations team to ensure a smooth process from application to closing.
- Partners with management to ensure all loans meet regulatory guidelines and appropriate conditions are obtained.
- Strives to ensure a frictionless member experience throughout the loan cycle by communicating key updates to the member and branch, such as: loan decision, condition requirements and loan status. Follows up and reviews required underwriting conditions with members. Signs off on conditions as appropriate.
- Reviews new HE applications for completion and follow up with originating branch rep as needed.
- Prepares and sends any additional required disclosures throughout the process, as applicable.
- Prepares and reviews disclosures for completion and compliance before being sent to the member.
- Sends welcome emails to the Branch and/or member to request documentation needed in order to move files in to underwriting per required timelines.
- Manages assigned pipeline of loans ensuring required timelines are met. Ensures all compliance requirements are met on every file.
- Orders appraisals, flood certifications, title work, verifications and credit report updates, as required.
- Ensures proper maintenance of Encompass throughout the application process, including updating income, credit and collateral information based on documentation received throughout the loan process.
- May be required to provide rates and repayment schedules on mortgages, accept applications and perform other duties requiring NMLS credentials.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years' experience working in a loan processing, closing, servicing or underwriting environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience using Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS) preferred.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows Environment to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of federal and local regulations or ordinances concerning lending activities
- n depth knowledge of home equity products, policies and procedures.
