Logistics Operations Planner

When production, carriers, and customers align, our compounds ship on time and our reputation grows. As a Logistics Operations Planner, you orchestrate that alignment—turning plans into precisely executed shipments every day.
How you'll contribute
- Coordinate seamlessly among shipping, production, sales, customer service, and carrier partners.
- Plan orders from start to finish; maintain a robust shipping schedule to drive an efficient work plan.
- Quote freight, secure capacity, track progress, and communicate service delays as needed.
- Manage inbound and outbound load schedules; document detention and maintain timely carrier logs.
- Dispatch drivers; partner with security to manage yard flow and gate activity.
- Weigh trucks in and out as directed; audit and verify shipment documentation for accuracy.
- Schedule inbound material appointments and coordinate with 3PLs and customer carriers.
- Prepare traffic, shipping, and customer reports with attention to detail.
- Build baseline competency in air freight, international, and hazardous shipments.
- Uphold 6S and housekeeping; identify and escalate quality issues; meet productivity standards.
- Cross-train across multiple business units and assist with related tasks as needed.
Growth-ready qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years clerical experience (required).
- 1–3 years transportation/shipping experience (preferred; prior experience helpful but not required).
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator—written and verbal—with sound time management and decision-making.
- General office capabilities and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Work style and expectations
- Full-time, onsite position within a team-based manufacturing environment; regular, punctual attendance is essential.
- Mandatory overtime may be required depending on business needs to maintain safe staffing of production areas.

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods; squat, bend, twist, and turn as needed.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment.
