Trash Collector

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 6am - 2pm. Mondays as needed.

Requirements: clean driving record, valid license, ability to obtain a DOT medical card, ability to lift, bend, and climb on a consistent basis.

Pay: $18 to start. Tips, bonuses, and overtime.

Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and dependable Trash Collectors to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely collecting and transporting trash and recyclable materials from residential and commercial clients. Your enthusiasm and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations while helping us keep communities clean and beautiful. Responsibilities

• Safely operate trash collection trucks and other commercial vehicles such as box trucks or dump trucks
• Load, unload, and transport trash or recyclables from designated locations to disposal sites
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic mechanical checks before and after routes
• Follow established routes efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and traffic laws
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding route progress or issues
• Maintain cleanliness of trucks and equipment throughout the workday
• Assist with yard work or moving tasks as needed to support team operations

Skills

• Experience with commercial driving, route driving, or shuttle driving preferred
• Knowledge of operating various commercial vehicles including box trucks, dump trucks, or pickups
• Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to load & unload efficiently using tools like pallet jacks or manual lifting techniques
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
• Ability to follow a predetermined route.
• Able to use a phone/tablet for navigation and communication
• Physical stamina for moving heavy loads, standing, walking, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
