Outside Sales Representative
We’re looking for a seasoned Outside Sales Representative – Fire Protection Service to grow our inspection, testing, maintenance, and corrective service business across MA, CT, and RI. This role is ideal for a fire protection professional who understands NFPA requirements, knows how to turn inspection deficiencies into revenue, and enjoys building long-term customer relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Drive profitable service growth across a defined territory
- Sell inspection contracts, PMAs, testing, repairs, retrofits, and compliance-driven work
- Convert project/install customers into recurring service clients
- Review inspection reports and develop code-compliant scopes of work
- Conduct site surveys and identify upgrade and corrective opportunities
- Present technical solutions to facility, property, and executive stakeholders
- Grow recurring revenue within existing accounts
- Manage pipeline, forecasting, and CRM activity
- Partner closely with service operations and field teams
What You Bring
- 5–10+ years in the fire protection industry (service sales strongly preferred)
- Experience selling fire sprinkler, alarm, suppression, or life safety services
- Working knowledge of NFPA 25, NFPA 13, and inspection/testing requirements
- Proven ability to hit revenue and margin targets
- Strong consultative selling and closing skills
- CRM proficiency and willingness to travel the territory
Nice to Have
- NICET certification (any level)
- Prior technician or service operations background
- Established regional facility or commercial real estate relationships
- Experience building and managing PMA portfolios
