Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in precision metal processing, is seeking a Temper Rewind Operator to join their team. As a Temper Rewind Operator, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the manufacturing and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Temper Rewind Operator

Location: East Longmeadow, MA

Pay Range: $21.00 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

What's the Job?

• Operate horizontal electric controlled atmosphere furnaces, dry heat tempering furnaces, and rewinding equipment to process coils according to standard procedures.
• Check coil ID tags for correct specifications and ensure completion of previous operations.
• Secure hardened coils with wire, transport racks, and load into tempering furnaces using overhead hoists.
• Operate rewind machines to reverse wind coils, and manage automatic rewind cycles efficiently.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records, report equipment issues, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

What's Needed?

• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers for precise measurements.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to use numbers including decimals accurately.
• Physical capability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing 5 to 25 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
