Certified Public Accountant Manager - Foxborough, MA -
We are looking for a Senior Investment Accountant to oversee all aspects of day-to-day accounting for a multi-entity Family Office, including individuals, trusts, and foundations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented financial professional with strong experience in investment accounting who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. #### Key Responsibilities - Oversee financial and accounting responsibilities for multiple multi-asset class investment portfolios, including trade processing and book accounting.
- Maintain books and records for various entities, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing.
- Lead the monthly close process and prepare financial statements as needed.
- Conduct research on securities within the investment portfolio and other accounting matters.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, investment restrictions, and proper accounting treatment.
- Collaborate with the tax department to provide accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison with investment service providers, optimizing services and maintaining accurate transaction records.
- Develop and enhance accounting workflows in coordination with technology platforms.
- Identify and escalate any accounting discrepancies or valuation issues and assist in resolving them.
- Take on special projects and assignments as needed. #### Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage and provide guidance to the Family Office Investment Staff Accountant. #### What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification required.
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, ideally in both public and operational accounting roles.
- Experience with private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund investment accounting is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive and independent approach to work, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. #### Work Environment & Physical Requirements - This position requires in-office work; remote or flexible arrangements are not available.
- The role involves regular computer use, including sitting for extended periods and engaging in frequent communication.
