Desktop Support Manager
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Desktop Support Manager in Woburn, MA. Summary: The Desktop Support Manager is responsible for leading the organization's endpoint management strategy, ensuring a secure, efficient, and scalable desktop environment. This role oversees desktop engineering functions, software deployment lifecycle modernization, endpoint security compliance, and advanced technical support operations. Key Responsibilities: Endpoint Engineering & Management:
- Lead the Help Desk team, including strategy development and technical execution for all enterprise endpoints
- Re-architect and optimize the software deployment lifecycle using Intune
- Manage enterprise-wide OS upgrade initiatives, including planning and phased deployments
- Develop automation scripts where possible for system remediation and patching
- Create and maintain Intune configuration and compliance policies aligned with CIS benchmarks
- Integrate patching processes to improve compliance
- Collaborate with the Information Security to mitigate endpoint risks
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for endpoint configuration, VPN access, and software troubleshooting
- Deliver white-glove support to executive and senior-level stakeholders
- Support VDI environments including Windows 365 Virtual desktops and Azure Virtual Desktops
- Use Ticket Software for incident management and asset tracking
- Manage endpoint deployment and patching initiatives
- Lead Help Desk deskside support teams
- Act as a primary escalation point for complex Help Desk and deployment-related issues
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field a plus
- Endpoint Management: Intune, SCCM/MECM, Windows Autopilot
- Scripting & Automation: PowerShell
- OS Deployment & Imaging: WDS, Windows 10/11, Autopilot Profiles
- Policy Management: Intune compliance/configuration, GPO hardening
- Security & Identity: Azure AD, Active Directory, MFA, Conditional Access, Windows Hello
- Collaboration Tools: Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange Online, Okta or other
